TURKEY’S FIRST MODERN GIANT AQUARIUM TURKUAZOO IS OPENED! Turkuazoo, a giant aquarium displaying the wonders of the magical underwater world was opened on October 22nd. The thousands of different inhabitants of the sea world including sharks, giant stingrays, piranhas and octopus will meet Istanbulites. |  |
Istanbul is meeting with a whole new world full of fun, interesting information and surprises. Turkuazoo, the first modern giant aquarium in Turkey has opened its doors to visitors on October 22nd. Turkuazoo presents an unprecedented experience to visitors and introduces various inhabitants of underwater collected from all around the world.
There are 29 different aquariums with different themes in Turkuazoo. Along a corridor designed with rainforest theme, visitors can see fresh water species brought from Amazons and Mekong River in Vietnam.
Salty water species are displayed in lined up aquariums that are designed in Mediterranean, Black Water and sea cave themes. The largest of 29 aquariums in Turkuazoo was filled with 5 million liters of water and includes an 80 meter long acrylic underwater tunnel. Also, the colossal observation deck that has 270 degrees underwater view angle displays the magnificence of the aquarium.
Dive with the Sharks!
One of the most exciting experiences that Turkuazoo visitors can enjoy is the opportunity to dive with hundreds of various sea species and even sharks. For these special diving programmes, Turkuazoo is collaborating with Sisli Underwater Club.
Educational Programmes Contribute to Environmental Consciousness
With educational programmes for students, Turkuazoo aims to contribute to development of environmental consciousness in Turkey. Presentations prepared in parallel with the official curriculum are given to pre-school and elementary school students in an entertaining atmosphere. The educational presentations and activities will open new horizons for students.
Turkuazoo is managed by Global Aquarium’s Turkish representative, Istanbul Underwater World A.S. Global Aquarium is a company that deals with aquarium investment and management. New Zealand origin Marinescape has designed and built Turkuazoo. The company designed, built and installed 21 giant aquariums in various cities from Singapore to Edinburgh, in the world. 1 million visitors are expected to visit Turkuazoo, every year.
The entrance fees of Turkuazoo is 25 TL for adults and 18 TL for students, guests aged over 65 and children aged between 4 and 16. The entrance fee for a family with two children is 75 TL.
Turkuazoo is open weekdays between 10.00 and 18.00, and weekends and holidays between 10.00 and 20.00.

المكان حلو وياخذ وقتك بدون ماتحس وممتع خصوصا للي معاه أطفال
من عيوبه كل اللوحات الإرشادية باللغة التركية فقط لايوجد حتى انجليزية
ولكن ما اعتقد انه مهم كثير لان بيانات أنواع الأسماك ماتهم كثير الغالبية
يعني ممكن تاخذ يوم كامل فيه مابين تسوق و العاب و ترفيه للأطفال و المطاعم
ويوجد داخل السوق عالم الثلج لكن للأسف مادخلناه بس اللي دخلوه امدحوه

من عيوبه كل اللوحات الإرشادية باللغة التركية فقط لايوجد حتى انجليزية
ولكن ما اعتقد انه مهم كثير لان بيانات أنواع الأسماك ماتهم كثير الغالبية
